Good Morning and Happy Sunday to all my friends and welcome to my new followers! I hope you are having a great weekend! I'd like to share with you my Valentine's Day collection...I was going to post these tomorrow but found myself with a few extra minutes this morning. This is going to be a LONG posting, but I'll try shorten in by forgoing the chit chat, so grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the show. For whatever reason I just couldn't get into the the red and pink mode this year so I am happy to say that I finished my last Valentine's Day card this morning!!! On this first card...OK...OK...I see now that the picture is VERY crooked but I didn't want to take the time to straighten it...you'll just have to believe me when I say it's not crooked in real life. I used Sizzix 3D flower die for the roses. Last year my good Blogger friend, Sharm sent me a goodies package with a few die cuts in it...I couldn't wait to get my hands on that die. I spent days searching the Internet looking for that die only to find that it was "sold out" everywhere. After I finally got it, I used it once then tossed it aside...Isn't that the way it is with most crafters? I've got a room full of "must haves" only to ask myself later "what were you thinking"? The ticket stamps were a freebie that I was lucky enough to get from the blog of SgtStamper before she lost everything when she redid her blog...let that be a warning to all who are thinking of redoing their blogs---

This card is for the 3 year old girl next door. The DigiStamp Boutique image was colored with my Copic Markers---

I just couldn't wait to use these frogs from The Scrapping Cottage/Peachy Keen---

Here's a card I made using clip art that I found on the Internet. I thought it would be perfect for the twins so I flipped one of the the images and colored it with my Copic markers. You can't tell from the picture but I also popped the the images---

Valentine's Day just wouldn't be complete without that adorable monkey Changito from Stampendous. I masked the "I" in the sentiment "luv u this much"---

This image is a digital image that came from All That Scraps. I got it a few years ago so it may no longer be available---

A simple single heart punched from Martha Stewart's Punch All Over The Page Ruffled Heart---

There's those cute little frogs from Scrapping Cottage/Peach Keen again---

For my good friend Gigi's son who loves mice, I had to do something with my all time favorite House Mouse stamp. I couldn't resist doing the "out of frame" Nestibility cut for his tail---

A Little Bit Of This And A Little Bit Of That

Good Morning...Happy Friday! I hope you have had a good week and a great start to a new year! This is going to be a short posting..While I thought things would settle down after the holidays, I continue to be as busy as ever! These first two cards were done before Christmas but I hadn't had a chance to post them. My mom was in the hospital with pneumonia just before Christmas and it has taken it's toll on her. This is the card I sent her. The inside says..."We Hope That You're Recovering...Getting Stronger By The Day". A few Nestibility die cuts, a little bit of inking and embossing...wha la you've got a card that looks like you spent a lot of time on it but it was really pretty quick and super easy...but shhhh...don't tell my mom---

My daughter in law's grandmother passed away and she has a huge family so I needed something quick and easy to mass produce...you gotta love the Spellbinder's Fleur de Lis die for this---

My daughter in law's birthday was yesterday and this is the card I made for her. I used Spellbinders Fancy Tag and Martha Stewart Punch All Over the Page Ruffled Heart. Happy birthday Kim, I hope you had a wonderful day---

And finally a card I made for my dear friend Gigi. I had gotten the frog die a while ago from Scrapping Cottage but wasn't sure what I was going to do with it. Then I remembered the poem I found on the Internet that I used on my father in laws St Patrick's Day card last year and thought this would be a fun wish for the new year---

As another year comes to an end, I want to take this opportunity to thank all of my loyal friends and followers for their continued support. I have met so many wonderful people from all over the world through my almost 3 years of blogging, and hope to continue that friendship. While I don't have anything new to post, I noticed that many of my blogger friends are posting their favorites. I thought I would do the same. Good Morning...I hope you are having a great week. Here are the rest of my Christmas cards as promised and my last posting until after the first of the year.

For my very special blogger friend, Lorene who loves bears. This card was made with the ever famous Go Kreate Boo on his Bums die in his Winter outfit---

For our Disney lovin' friends Kathi and Bob. This card uses a Cuttlebug die and EK Success Arrow punch for the frame---

For a special friend that I use to work with who now works at Disney World. I realized after downloading the picture, I forgot to add the red pearl to Pluto's nose but did before I mailed it. Merry Christmas Blaine---

A money holder for our wonderful dog groomer, Amy. This card is 3.25" x 7" and uses my new favorite die from The Scrapping Cottage (thanks Eunice), a paw punch and Spellbinder Holiday tag die along with Martha Stewart tree border punch. The sentiment is computer generated---

A money holder for our beautician. I stamped an Inkadinkado image then embossed with white embossing powder and inked it with Distress Ink---

And last but not least a money holder for my husband's buddy, the trash man. I used free clip art found on the Internet and colored with copics---

A Few More Christmas Cards

Good Morning...I hope you had a good weekend. Can you believe Christmas is less than 2 weeks away...where does the time go when you are having fun crafting? All of my Christmas cards are done and in the mail. Here are a few of them...I'll try to get back later in the week to post the rest of them. This first pair is made with a Quickutz die cut from felt and a computer generated sentiment. At first I wasn't sure about the black and red combo but I was happy with the way they turned out ---

A simple song sheet found on the internet with a Cuttlebug 3x3 wreath---

I used Spellbinder's Holiday Tags and Holly and Ornament with computer generated sentiment---

A few different embossing folders with the Cuttlebug tree and Spellbinders circle and lacey circle for this white on white card. A touch of colors from a computer generated sentiment---

A Sizzix candy cane wrapped with silver cord. A few Cuttlebug snowflake dies and Martha Stewart tree border punch---

These next 2 are for my husband's great-nephews so I wanted to make them similar. The Santa is a Scrapping Cottage die and the Snow man is a Go Kreate die---

A Few Chrismas Cards

Good Morning...Happy Black Friday! There is no way you will find me on the streets or in the the malls today...That's just not my thing...in fact you won't find me in the stores until December 20th at which time I will start and finish my Christmas shopping. For those that celebrate Thanksgiving...I hope you had a wonderful day with friends and family. I know it's been awhile since I've posted...we've been out of town, visiting family and having a wonderful time but it sure is good to be back home. Here's a few cards I made before we left but didn't have time to post them. My goal is to have my Christmas cards done before Dec.1st. This first one is for my grandson and done with a Scrapping Cottage die---

This one didn't photograph well, because of the mirror paper, I took it without the flash and it looks a bit dark and dingy. It is for my good friend Gigi's son who have a fascination with mice...EEK!

A plain and simple card done with a Sizzix embossing folder and a QuikKuts die---

This one is a day late and a dollar short. It is for our Disney lovin' friends and I didn't want to post it until they had a chance to receive it. I used clip art for the image---

A Few Christmas Cards Done With Kraft and Red Mirror Paper

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful week! A BIG welcome to my new followers! I have "met" so many wonderful people from all over the world from blogging, I hope you will visit often. I am looking forward to getting to know you. Thank you Kelly from Orange Park, Florida for the sweet comment. We have all been new at one time or another, so please if I can be of any help to you, don't hesitate to ask. I love to share what knowledge I have with others. Instead of getting ready for our trip north, I am finding myself in my craftroom every chance I get. I'm loving the combination of kraft and red mirror paper. Here's a few cards I've done with that combination. When I saw the Z-fold card The Other Patti Sue made, I knew I was going to have to copy it. Here is my take on the card she created in late September. Be sure to visit her blog, you will be amazed at her work, she is truly an inspiration---

The best part about this type of card for me is it forces me to finish the inside. For those of you that know me, you know I usually wait until I get ready to send it to finish the inside. By that time I'm scrambling for matching paper---

Here's a card I did with my new favorite tool...dies from The Scrapping Cottage. After I seen a card that my blogger friend Eunice did using the Shih Tzu Peeker, I knew I HAD to have them. In addition to the ones I had gotten for Halloween, I have gotten a bunch more so be prepared to see them a lot---

Here is a quick and simple money holder I did for our bug man---

Oh yes...I forgot to post the Halloween card I did for our Disney loving friends Kathi and Bob. It didn't photograph very well...with the flashback from the glitter on "the moon" you can't read the circle word very well but it says "Minnie Halloween Witches"---

Good Morning...Happy Friday! I hope you've had a good week and looking forward to the weekend. This is going to be a quick posting this morning...I have spend far too much time trying to get a good picture of these cards...ALL of them photographed horrible...there must be something wrong with the settings on my camera or maybe it's the lighting...who knows but the the colors are all off. For the good or bad of it...here are the cards I've been working on since my last posting.

A Few Thank You Cards

Happy Friday!!! I hope you've had a great week! Here's a few Thank You cards that I did since my last posting. We will be taking a trip next month and will be staying with my sister in law and her husband for a few days. This is the card we will leave behind for their hospitality. The house image is from The Welcome Home set from The Cutting Cafe and the circle word is computer generated---

We normally travel with our dogs but this trip we will be leaving them behind. Here is the Thank You money holder for the boarder at our vets office. The dogs are from a Scrapping Cottage die...can you tell I love that die---

And finally here is a couple Thank You cards for my grandson, son and daughter in law for my 56th birthday celebration a few weeks ago using a Penny Black image with Nellie Snellen Flower punch. There is a story that goes along with the cow image but I'll spare you the details. The owl is a Go Kreate die---

I'm Back With Some Christmas Cards

Good Morning...Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are having a GREAT week. Here are the Christmas cards that I said I would post. I hope I have inspired you enough to leave a comment and sign up to be a follower if you aren't already. YOUR comments are MY inspiration to keep posting! I have been having SO much fun but I really need to set the Christmas stuff aside and get busy on my Thanksgiving cards!!! This first card is for our vet using the Scrapping Cottage Shih Tzu die. I had first seen this die on my good blogger friend Eunice's blog and knew I had to have it. I left off the goofy eyebrows from the one to make it look like a Maltese then cut the top knot off the other to make it look like a Peek-a-Poo. What a great likeness to our dogs Charlee and Triskett---

Here is the card I made for the twins using The Cute Christmas Collection from Digi Stamp Boutique that I colored with Copics, added a few snowflakes using the 2x2 Cuttlebug Snowflake die and added some Liquid Applique---

A mitten card using Spellbinder Mitten die---

Another mitten card...using the Cuttlebug Snowflake Embossing folder. This is a Z-fold and try as I might I couldn't get a good picture of it opened---

And finally a card using the Go Kreate Snowman, Cuttlebug 3x3 Tree die and Swiss Dot embossing folder. The sheet music is Frosy the Snowman that I found on-line. Because of the bells, I had to make an envelope box---

Super EASY and it fits like a glove. I used a 6 1/2" by 11" sheet of card stock scored at 1/2" on each side then scored at 2", 2 1/2", 6 7/8", 7 3/8". Then added a scallop border, some score lines, Scor Tape and an elastic cord for closing---

Something Other Than Halloween Cards To Look At!

Hello Everyone! It's been awhile since I have posted anything but I thought since I am still getting visitors and even a few new followers, I'd give you something new to look at. I don't know about you but I'm getting tired of looking at Halloween cards. I really should be thinking about Thanksgiving cards but my heart just isn't into it...so instead here are a few miscellaneous cards. The first 2 are quick and easy cards for my Granddaughters Chloe and Bella. Chloe is really into Hello Kitty and Bella...well she likes anything. I had sent Kayli the Bubble Gum card I made a while back for The Cutting Cafe---

This next one is for my good friend Gigi for Halloween. It is very similar to one that I posted last time except it is not a topper card and something that doesn't show on camera is the middle pumpkin has a wobbler. Don't look too close, I got very sloppy with the inking---

Fall and Halloween Cards

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a GREAT weekend! It's been more than 3 weeks since I have posted to my blog but I wanted to share with you a few cards that I have done for Fall and Halloween. I really struggled about posting these since I will not have the time to blog or visit my favorite blogs. I am flattered that I continue to get hundreds and hundreds of visitors even though I have not posted for such a long time. The emails are pouring in asking me when I will be resuming my blog...the truth is that blogging is so time consuming, I do not have the luxury of spending countless hours on the Internet at this time. Your kind words have always been an inspiration and mean so much to me. Thank you for your continued support! For those of you that visit on a daily basis...sometimes several times a day, I'd love to hear from you, so please take a moment to say hello! A Couple of Christmas Cards

I'm back...This will be my last posting for awhile. I will be taking a short break from blogging to tend to some things that I have neglected starting with CLEANING my craftroom!!! Good Morning...Thanks for stopping by! Just a real quick posting today to share the birthday card I made for my husband's son. Since I wanted to use an image from Bugaboo featuring Gus, and hadn't used my Copic Marker's lately, I thought this would be the perfect image for a guy that will be 43 but a kid at heart. The picture turned out a little dark...bad lighting...I guess that is what happens when you craft before the sun comes up...lol! The inside reads "Growing Up Is Optional"---

A Couple of Birthday Cards

Good Morning...I hope you are having a great week. My heart goes out to all those effected by Hurricane Irene. She was headed this way before she made a turn north and oh how well I remember 2004 when we were hit by 3 hurricanes in a six week span. I know...I don't usually post on the weekend and almost never ever on a Sunday but I was SO excited when Regina said we would be doing a give away for The Cutting Cafe to welcome the new Design Team members...I just couldn't wait to post this! He is a train enthusiast so I like to keep with a train theme for him. The train images are Cuttlebug dies that I glued several pieces of cardstock together before cutting to give it the feel of chipboard and add dimension. Two Very Special Cards

Good Morning...I hope you are having a great week. My week continues to be busy but I wanted to stop long enough to share a couple of very special cards with you. The twins will be baptised next week and wanted to do something a little different for them. This card used the Spellbinders Label 7 dies and the help of a fellow blogger, Valita. I had seen this type of Easel card done on her blog a while back and knew when the time came I was going to use for this special occasion. When you get a chance, check out her blog, she is so creative and can turn a punch or die cut into something amazing! I found this poem on the Internet and thought it was perfect. I changed the words from 'this tiny baby" to "these tiny babies" and will post in here for those of you that may want to copy it---

Good Morning Everyone. I hope you had a great weekend. It was a busy one for me. My youngest son and daughter in law had a combined birthday party for my grandson Kenny Michael who turned 5 July 15th and the twins, Nathaniel and Jeremiah who will be 1 on July 26th. There were 38 people there so I don't have to tell you how crazy it was but it was nice to see people that we hadn't seen since the last family event. We had gorgeous weather and a good time was had by all! Here is a card I made for my husband's daughter that has had some issues going on in her life and I thought she needed to know that her dad loved her. The picture didn't turn out very clear and I couldn't understand why...we found out yesterday that the setting on the camera had been changed but since the card was already sent, I wasn't able to take another picture. I used the Cutting Cafe's Animal and Bug Mini Colored Circle Set. This is an awesome set that comes with 47 images. The word circles come in 2 sizes and the set also comes with each of the animals and bugs all by themselves. It also comes with the backgrounds and 9 solid color circles. How cool is that, Regina has done all the work for you. All you have to do is print, cut and embellish and it's done!!! I added a tag from The Valentine's Day Mini Word Set. For the back, I reduce the size of the elephant and added it to the Handmade Just For You Circle that Regina customized with my blog address that I recolored to match the paper---

Good Morning Everyone! Happy Wednesday...I hope you are having a great week! Here's the Thank You card I made to send to my son and daughter in law from my husband for his Father's Day gifts. I used The Cutting Cafe's Elephant Shaped Card template cutting file. As with ALL of Regina's digital stamps and templates, it was so EASY to put together. I used my Bosskut Gazelle but for those of you that don't have a Bosscut or a Pazzles cutting machine, in addition to the WPC format that I used, the file also comes in PDF and SVG formats. The set comes with a matching envelope and 5 sentiments...the sentiments come on a tag and by themselves The card is approximately 5 by 4.5 inches. You can't tell from the photo, but I used ScorTape on the upper portion of the ear then pop dotted the lower portion so it would stand off the card---

Happy Monday Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! Here's a couple of cards that I started awhile back and was able to complete them in the craziness of this past week. It's been awhile since I used my Copics so I thought while I was doing this the Lions, Tigers and Bears for my grandson, I would do a quick Thank you too. Last year when we took Kenny Michael to Animal Kingdom, he got so tickled when we chanted Lions, Tigers and Bears...Oh My! Do I need to tell you what the inside says? Although when we gave him the card, I asked him to name the pictures, fully intending to say Oh My when he was done but much to my disappointments he said a lion, a tiger and a PANDA...what a smartie pants!!! Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a great week! We had dinner with my son and daughter in law last night...my goodness how the twins have grown. Do you believe they will be 1 year old next month? Where does the time go when you are crafting? I knew I wasn't going to have a lot of time for crafting this week, so I turned to The Cutting Cafe for help. I used the Let's Go For A Ride printable stamp set. This set is awesome and comes with 42 images and sentiments. It went together so quick and easy. When I say quick, I mean REALLY quick. A Thank You For Our Vet

Good Morning Blogger Friends! I hope you are having a great weekend! I know that I don't usually post on the weekends but I wanted to share a card with you and explain why I haven't visited my favorite blogs much this week. Many of you know we rescued a very sweet Maltese from a puppy mill environment some 7 or 8 years ago. She came to us with a lot of health issues and required a lot of medical attention. For the past 7 or 8 years we have battled chronic ear infections. Last December the ear was no longer treatable with medication and surgery was our only option. After they had prepped her, they were not able to do the surgery because they were not able to intubate her...not even with the smallest breathing tube. She was given yet another steroid shot and antibiotics and sent us on our way with the promise that the vet would cosult with his fellow animal surgeons for a solution to this problem. To make a long story short (too late for that...lol) a specialist was called in and she had the surgery this past week. They removed her ear from the ear drum out and will require extensive care for at least the 3-4 weeks. We took pictures of her but I'll spare you...gross is an understatement! Anyway, here is the card I made for Drs. Kervin, Van Lue and the Staff at Hunter's Creek Animal Hospital who not only provided her with the best possible care but the level of care and concern for us as well---

The card didn't photograph well, perhaps I'll take it outside once the sun comes up but more than likely not. I will do my best to catch up with my favorite blogs this weekend but things are kind of hit and miss at this point...as will be my postings. This is worse than having a newborn baby in the house...precious little time for anything. The best part is, after the healing...we won't have to deal with another ear infection again! Good Morning Everyone! Happy June 1st! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are having a great week! Here's a couple of cards I did for The Monthly Inspiration over at The Cutting Cafe using the Cruisin By To Say Hi Printable Stamp Set. This is an AWESOME set that comes with 98 images that features 3 different cars in 3 different sizes. Each car also comes in black and white as well as a few fun colors.The set also comes with 14 sentiments in 3 ways...Straight and circle words. I have to admit when Regina told the Design Team what set we would be using this month, I had no idea what I was going to do, but I knew I had to make a couple of Father's Day cards so I thought I would use the set for them. Good Morning Everyone! For those of you that are here in the US, I hope you are having a great holiday weekend. While you are with friends and family having a cookout in the backyard or just enjoying the day off work, take a moment to remember all the men and women that served in the Armed Forces that gave their lives for our freedom.

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a great week! Each month Regina with The Cutting Cafe posts a "Monthly Inspiration" for your viewing pleasure. Here is my contribution for this months Design Team project showcasing cupcakes! Regina will be posting the Design Team's project 5/15 so be sure to check the Cutting Cafe for a yummy taste of inspiration along with a chance to win 3 files from The Cutting Cafe. A Couple Of Wedding Cards

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend and for those of you that are mothers and grandmothers, I hope you had a wonderful day! We spent the day with my youngest son and his family followed by a most enjoyable evening at Epcot. Every Spring, Disney has a concert series at Epcot and Davy Jones of The Monkees has been a regular there as far back as I can remember. I was a huge fan of his some 45 years ago, and although my taste in music has changed, he gave great concert! He has put on a few pounds but still has a full head of hair and had a lot of stage presence. There was a lot of interaction with the audience which made me think that he knew his fans made him what he is today. The Monkees was my first concert when I was 10 or 11 years old and it brought back a flood of memories...I remember it as if it were yesterday.
Here's a couple of wedding cards that I made for my good blogger friend Lorene. This first one is a little different than what I have seen of the bride and groom done with Nestibility hearts. It's my version as I LOVE a man in a white tux---This second one didn't photograph well because of the shimmer paper and bling. It was made with the doves from The Joy of the Season Cricut Cartridge-That's it for today. Good Morning Everyone...Happy Friday! I hope you have had a great week! I had fully intended to get back with you before this to share some exciting news, but my father in law passed away this past week and things have been crazy. As it turns out, Regina with The Cutting Cafe didn't make the announcement until last night so it's just as well. Can you guess what the news is? Yep...I'll be returning to the Cutting Cafe as a member of the Design Team after what seems like an eternity when in reality it has only be 4 months. I am SO excited! I have missed Regina terribly. I will be posting as I have done in the past 4 months with the exception of each week when I post something for The Cutting Cafe, I will be posting it by itself and will give the recipe with the list of supplies I have used. I officially don't start until May 1st but when Regina told us to "Go Shopping" for files, I couldn't resist this Alarm Clock Shaped card. School Is Out

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend and everyone had a nice Easter. I've not been on the Internet much this past week, I've got a ton on unanswered emails and I haven't visited my favorite blogs. I won't have a chance to today but I promise before the week is out, I'll get to it. It's almost that time of year again...for most people, summer vacation will begin next month and school will be out for the kids. Here's a couple of quick cards that I'll be sending to my granddaughters that live in Tennessee next month. This first one is a 4.25 x 4.25 square note card that I used the ever famous Bugaboo Digital Stamp image. I colored it with Copic Markers, paper pieced the dress and popped the image on the crayon. It reminded me so much of my oldest granddaughter, Kayli . If you hadn't noticed, I have added a picture of them to my sidebar. Now...I have to get after my youngest son to get me a picture of the boys---
This next one is for my middle granddaughter, Chloe. I used the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge and Cuttlebug balloon dies---
Here is a picture that my daughter in law sent me via email of a picture Chloe did in her art class. It's her rendition of Claude Monet's "Water Lily Pond". She is 6 years old and quite talented, wouldn't you say? A Few Fun Cards

Hello Everyone! Thanks for stopping by...I hope you are having a great weekend! We have been having trouble with our Internet so I hope this posts OK. They were out Saturday but will have to come back tomorrow to do a MAJOR repair. Our service is intermitten and very slow at best. Here's a few fun cards I did for our granddaughters that live in Tennessee. This first one features the ladybug from the Cricut Doodlecharm cartridge and The Little Lady background stamp from Cutting Cafe...Oh how I miss Regina--- This next was SUPER quick and easy. It is a standard A2 card that I cut an opening on the fold for the straps and notched out the bottom for the legs. I used Stampin' Up Pocket Fun Stamp. The pocket was stamped in white craft ink and the frog was colored with Copic Markers---

This last one was cut with Cricut Create a Critter and a sentiment from Angel Landings Button Bug Digi Stamp Set. It didn't photograph well...it looks washed out--- I have used my Cricut more in the last 6 month than I had in the 2 1/2 years that I've had it. It all started when my friend Kathi asked me to show her how to use Design Studio...Thanks Kathi! Lattice, Lattice and More Lattice

Hello Everyone! Thanks for stopping by. Ever since I did the Easter card using the Martha Stewart Garden Trellis I have been intrigued with lattice work. This first card is a birthday card for my husband's daughter. The lattice frame was done with Cricut using Plantin Schoolbook and Design Studio. It appears that there is ink smudged on the layer under the frame but it is the paper. There is a very delicate design that does not show in the picture--- This next one is a Thank You card for the staff at Hillsville Retirement Center in Virgina where my father in law was a resident until a few weeks ago. He had taken a bad fall that put him in the hospital at which time he was unable to return to an assisted living environment. It was made with the Spellbinder's Rose Edgeability with strips of cardstock weaved in the frame---

And this last one is a simple note card done with Spellbinder's Rose Edgeability but the frame was cut, the cardstock was folded and the front was embossed with QuickKuts Diamonds and Dots Embossing Folder. There is a piece of repositional tape on the back of the rose to keep it closed ---

I'm back as promised...with some more Easter cards. Back in February as I was finishing up my Valentine cards I wondered when Easter was so rather than get my lazy butt up to look at the calendar, I checked the Internet...it said April 4th, I never bothered to check the year. I was in such a panic to get my St Patrick's Day cards done so I could start my Easter cards on time. It wasn't until last week that I realized that Easter couldn't be April 4th and checked the calendar...sure enough, Easter isn't until April 24th...it was April 4th LAST year. So here I am just about done with my Easter cards and Easter is 5 1/2 weeks away. What am I going to do with my time....hummmm...maybe work on Christmas cards? Anyway here are some EASTER cards that I've done. This 1st one, with the bunnies are for my grandsons. I know it's not very colorful but those of you new to my blog, Nathaniel and Jeremiah are twins and I wanted them to be the same color. Kenny Michael's favorite colors are red and yellow...a red bunny...NOT!
This card didn't photograph very well because of the shimmer paper and the green flourish under the flower sticks out like a sore thumb. It's not that way in real life. I don't know why it turned out so bright---

And this one looks bluish but is really lavender. I think I need a crash course in photography---

St Patrick's Day...Disney Style

Good Evening...Thanks for stopping by. Here's a couple of St. Patrick's Day cards that I had done awhile back but didn't want to post them until the recipients had a chance to receive them. I had a tough time coming up with something for our Disney friends Kathi and Bob for St Patrick's Day so I decided to do something different and let the paper do the work but I didn't have anything Disney in green soooooooooo I scanned a piece of red, black and white Disney paper then recolored it in Microsoft Word and voila this is what I got...pretty cool huh? This is a tunnel card and even though I've done a few, it's been a long time ago and never one for them---

Some St. Patrick's Day Cards

Good Evening everyone! I know I usually post in the morning but I'm going to be a little bit busy tomorrow so here I am with 2 postings tonight. I've been working on St. Patrick's Day and Easter cards and thought that I would group them separately. I am done with my St. Patrick's Day cards (thank goodness...I really had a tough time with them) but have 2 more to post, after the recipient receives them--- The other day I was doing what I do best and that is shopping on line. One of the sites that I shop with frequently is Custom Crops and had come across this Cricut cut file done sometime ago from my good blogger friend Donna. When I seen the file, I remembered this cute little Irish Blessing and since I am having such a tough time coming up with my St Patrick's Day cards, I had to team them up. As usual, the picture didn't turn out well, I always have trouble with greens and purples but you get the idea. You can find the cut file by clicking here. Hello Everyone! I hope you're having a great weekend! I had received a ton of emails concerning the suspension of my blog. Many of you ask me to consider posting now and again. At this time, I don't want to get back into the blogging world but am continuing to make cards for my family and friends. I've given a lot of thought to and agonized over my decision to suspend my blogging for the foreseeable future. Although I have "met" so many wonderful people though my blogging and will truly miss you, there is a fine line between the fun and the work aspect of blogging. I have said on many occasions that blogging is a lot of work and it really takes the enjoyment out of creating when I don't get the response I need to make it worth while. At the present I don't want to invest the time it takes to maintain a blog when I am not getting the satisfaction I need. I spend countless hours answering emails from those that come to my blog day after day to get ideas. It's a little disheartening when I have spent so much time to never receive as much as a thank you.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of my loyal followers and friends for their continued support. I especially appreciate that support that has carried me through moments of doubt. As I mentioned at the beginning of this posting, I have met so many wonderful people through my blogging and hope to continue contact with those of you whom I consider my friends.

I will maintain my blog for those who wish to visit. Should my passion for card making bring me back to blogging, I hope you will be there to share in my creativity. In closing, I want to wish you and yours a very healthy, happy, and prosperous New Year!

This is a very sad day for me, It marks the end of my term with The Cutting Cafe. This is the last posting as a member of The Design Team. I've been with Regina since August of 2009, to say that I will miss her is a understatement! Not only is Regina very easy to work with, she has always made me feel appreciated for the job I have done for her. She has been there at every turn with nothing but words of encouragement and praise. I have grown since I have been on her team and I truly feel blessed to have been a part of The Cutting Cafe's Design Team. At this point, I'm not certain what I am going to do to fill the void but I will be taking some time off to take care of personal business that has been neglected and I have GOT to take time to CLEAN up my craftroom. Holiday Photos-The Cutting Cafe

Good Morning Everyone. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you had a wonderful weekend! How many times have you been handed ( or have handed someone) a plain white envelope with pictures. Regina with The Cutting Cafe has come up with a novel idea for picture giving. Here is a photo holder I made with the CAMERA PHOTO SHAPED HOLDER TEMPLATE. It comes with a camera shaped card with a holder in the inside to hold up to ten 4 by 6 photos, 20 circle sentiments, 22 straight sentiments that can be used for various picture taking occasions and a smaller camera shaped card with a matching envelope. My daughter in law who loves to take pictures is one of those people that gives pictures in a plain white envelope so I hope to have a set of these done to give her when we see them Christmas Eve. I'll be doing the set for various occasions and will include this one and a few more for Christmas photos. This is the camera shaped card that I enlarged to 4 5/8 by 6 1/4---

Good Morning Everyone! Brrrr...it's cold this morning! We've had the heat on for more than a week and it doesn't look like we are going to get any relief any time soon! Here's the card I made for my 4 year old grandson. Gosh, I struggled with his card. I sent him the turkey shaped card for Thanksgiving and he was just so tickled with it, he kept saying over and over that he had never seen a turkey card before. I wanted to do a shaped card. So I started with a shaker snow globe but ended up trashing it...it just wasn't right, then I did a snowman shaped card and even though I didn't trash it, I wasn't happy with it because it was just too plain. This card isn't anything special but I think he will like it. He is so easy to please and appreciates everything---

There Is SNOW One Quite Like You!

Good Morning Everyone...TGIF! It's been a heck of a week for me...I hope your week has gone better. My good blogger friend Min's father was diagnosed with esophageal cancer last January, and while they thought things were under control, they got the devastating news last week that the cancer has spread around his lungs and Hospice has been called in. For the last 11 months, family and friends have sent cards and well wishes. Her dad has cherished each and every card that he has received. She would like to make this a Christmas he will never forget. She is asking all that can participate to make an extra card to send to her dad. Click here for details. My heart goes out to Min and her family, no one should have to endure this dreadful disease, especially at Christmas time. Min...you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I don't scraplift often but have always found white on white so elegant and when I seen it, I knew who I was going to send it to so I went to the posters blog to ask for permission to scraplift. Much to my surprise, the poster, Jocelyn aka JoBear2 has been visiting my blog for more than a year now...talk about it being a small world...this card was scraplifted all the way from the NE suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Good Evening...I normally don't do blog awards but I made an exception this time. When a new visitor Larelyn of Handmade From The Heart-Designs by Larelyn passed it along, how could I resisit? I can do all except pass it along...I have been so busy the last 6 months that I haven't had the opportunity to seek out new blogs so I'm passing it along to all that visit me.
Here are the 8 things that you may or may not know about me---
1) I'm a Florida transplant, originally from Lakewood, Ohio which is just west of Cleveland.
2)-I have been crafting for almost 2 years now and having a blast
3)-My job of 23 years was outsourced a little over 2 years ago. I worked in the fraud control department for a major Florida bank.
4)-Since my job was outsourced, I have developed very poor sleep habits.
5)-I've got 6 grand kids. Three granddaughters ages 10, 6 and 2 1/2 that live in Tennessee and two grandsons ages 4 and the twins that are 4 month that live here in Florida.
6)-I don't watch too much TV but do enjoy Law and Order SVU and Criminal Minds.
7) Although I HATE to go out to shop, I am the queen of online shopping and no bargain escapes me.
8) My favorite color is PINK and I love butterflies!

G00d Morning Everyone! Thanks for stopping by...I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I know we sure did. Of course we spent Thursday with our good friends Kathi and Bob, did nothing but laze around on Friday and we spent Saturday with my son's family. Gosh, I can't believe the twins are 4 months old now and are just as cute as can be. With less than a month away til Christmas, I think I'd better put on my crafting cap and get my butt into gear. Here is a card I made using The Cutting Cafe's Christmas Frames. What an awesome set, it comes with 10 sentiments in 2 different sizes (A2 and 4"x6") for a total of 20 framed sentiments. I chose the "With Love at Christmas". Do you see the smaller trees in the background on the Nestibility...that was my husband's idea...and who said men can't come up with ideas on their own...lol!

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had the good fortune to spend the day with our good friends Kathi and Bob. Kathi is the Martha Stewart of Kissimmee, Florida so I don't have to tell you what a perfect day it was...the food was great and the company was wonderful. There is no doubt when we left their home, we were 5 lbs heavier!

I've got so much to be thankful for...I have "met" so many wonderful people from all over the world through my blog. I want to show my appreciation with this 4 card boxed set of The Candy Cane Poem. Whether you keep it, or give it as a gift, it's my way of saying THANK YOU! There are no special requirements and it is open to everyone that leaves a comment...I will even ship Internationally. Here is a picture of the set--- This set has 4 A2 size cards with envelopes (all the same design) that come in a box that was made from the instruction on SCS and can be found here except I trimmed the box down by 1/4 inch on both the top and bottom of the box and an additional 1/16 inch on the top of the top for a better fit. The card is like the card I posted November 15th (for the recipe see the November 15th posting) with the exception I did not pop dot the candy canes or the holly leaves. I thought it best not to impose extra postage so rather than pop dots, I glued only the middle portion of the holly to the candy cane allowing them to give dimension without the bulk. Good Morning Everyone! Thanks for stopping by! This will be my last posting until Friday. I'm taking a few days off to be with family and friends for Thanksgiving but I will be back Friday. There is no way you will find me on the streets or in the the malls on Black Friday. That's just not my thing...in fact you won't find me in the stores until December 20th at which time I will start and finish my Christmas shopping. This is a very simply card and very easy to mass produce. After embossing the top layer, a window was cut and the sentiment layer (a freebie offered by Squigglefly Digital Stamps on SNR Card Universe and recolored) was placed underneath. I was going to heat emboss the "dots" but found that a gold opaque paint marker gave the same effect.---

Christmas Ornament Fun Template-Cutting Cafe

Good Morning Everyone...Another Monday...Another day closer to Christmas! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I am FINALLY able to start working on my Christmas cards so it should be no surprise that I chose a template from The Cutting Cafe. This is the Christmas Ornament Fun Template file and IS just that...FUN! The file comes with 2 different ornaments and with each ornament there is a window card..a folded card and a shaped card...and they all will fit in an A2 size envelope! The set also has a border...each are approximately 10 inches in length and large and small nesting ornament. I used the folded card teamed with the Merry Christmas Huge Circle Word that I reduced to fit the ornament. I had SO much fun making it--- Here is the recipe---
