Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a great week. Me...it's been very busy, with my mom in a rehab over 100 miles away with numerous trips back and forth and our sweet Maltese, Charlee with yet another ear infection that we have been treating since March...things have been very hectic. Many of you may remember last year she had to have surgery, they removed everything from her ear drum out because we had battle chronic ear infections. She is now having the same problem with what we refer to as her "good ear". She is scheduled to have the same surgery this morning. I've got a ton of unanswered emails and I have not had a chance to visit my favorite blog but I did want to do a quick posting on a couple of fun cards and to welcome my new followers. I'm really pressed for time this morning so I will close by saying...Don't give up on me...I'll answer my emails and visit my favorite blogs within the next day or 2...or 3. If you have any questions on the recipe or the supplies I used...please feel free to email me! I'll be back the first part of next week with the Thank You cards I made for our vet---
Til then, enjoy your day and have a great week...what's left of it!Have A Question On How I Did Something? PLEASE READ!
I love to share what knowledge I have. I'm finding it more and more difficult to respond to your questions because some of you are not leaving a way for me to contact you. I am not ignoring those of you who have questions, but the majority of the time no contact information is given so I am unable to respond to your inquiries. If you are serious about me answering the questions you ask and do not have a Blogger account with an email address linked to it, please leave your email address or email me with your question at knmic1012@aol.com and I will get back with you. If you email me, be sure to put "blog question" in the subject line so I won't think it's SPAM and delete it.

I Know...I've Been A BAD Blogger!
Good Morning...Happy Friday! I know I've been a BAD blogger...I was suppose to be back before the end of last week with this posting but life got in the way (how dare life get in the way of crafting...lol!) and I wasn't able to get to it until now. I needed a couple of quick Thank You cards and a Support card and this is what I came up with. I've been playing with my Copics and having SO much fun. This first card features the ever lovable Chagito from Stampendous. You can't tell from the picture but it is stamped and popped in 3 layers and stickles added to the rain---
For this card I used a Whipper Snapper stamp along with the Martha Stewart fence edge punch. I added a few flowers from a Memory Box die and the grass is a MFT die. I punched the corners with Stampin Up corner punch then filled the corners with EK Success photo corners and added some flowers from Scrapping Cottage Sugar Egg die. The "thanks" is a Cuttlebug Babyface die---
This sweet little mouse is a Penny Black stamp and the background is a layer cut with Martha Stewart Heart Punch All Over the Page. The embossed layer is Cuttlebug Love Language embossed on Core'dination paper and lightly sanded. The edge punch is from Martha Stewart and the sentiment is computer generated using Cupid de Locke font---
That's it for now...Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions on the supplies or recipe that I haven't addressed please feel free to email me. Enjoy your day and have a wonderful weekend!Monday, May 14, 2012

Good Morning Everyone! Thanks for stopping by...I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Here's a few cards I made a couple weeks ago but I wasn't able to get to the post office to get them mailed until late last week. I didn't want to post them until they were received. I brought my Copic markers out of hiding and wanted to do a few girly cards for my 3 favorite girls...my granddaughters. They are all pretty simple and speak for themselves but if you need more information, please, don't hesitate to email me---
That's it for now...Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your day and have a great week. Hope to see you again soon!

Thank You Cards To Replenish My Stash
Good Morning Everyone! Thanks for stopping by. The day that I have dreaded has finally come...that is the OLD blogger interface is a thing of the past so I am forced to use the new and improved (?) Blogger which is suppose to streamlined the blogging experience. That's easy for them to say...I'm so very computer illiterate it's going to take a while for me to fumble my way through. In addition, Blogger no longer supports my browser of choice...IE...so I am also going to have to get use to Google Chrome..so bear with me while I struggle through it! I have been working on replenishing my Thank You card stash. With my husband's birthday yesterday, Mother's Day and Father's Day just around the corner I realized I have no Thank you cards to send so here's what I came up with. I just love this bird house from MFT---
This one is a little "cheesy" and a lot out of focus ( I guess I moved when I took the picture) but it's for our grandson's and I'm sure they will love it---
Sometimes you need a quick and easy thank you card with a minimum of embellishments so these next 3 fit the bill. This 1st one was inspired by my son (yes...my son) He made some gorgeous cards for their trip to the flea market a few weeks ago. The layout of one in particular stuck in my head so I cased it---
A simple image found on the internet then embossed with an added sentiment...if just doesn't get any quicker and easier than that---
I come across this digital paper from The Sweet Shoppe a while ago and have been wanting to do something with it so here is what I come up with---That's it for today...If you have a question on the recipe or supplies that I have used in my posting today, please feel free to email me. Thanks for stopping by...enjoy your day and have a wonderful rest of the week!

A Few Mother's Day Cards
Good Morning and Happy Monday to all my friends and followers in blogland! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I'd like to share with you a few of the Mother's Day cards that I will be sending out. This first one features that fat cat image from Penny Black that I colored with my Copics. I think my new favorite color combo is aqua and peach---
Here's another using that color combo with a computer generated sentiment and my favorite Martha Stewart edge punch, Vintage Floral---
For this last one I used the Heart to Heart Doily die from Cherry Lynn. Anyone that has this die knows that it was a real labor of love to make this card. I cut and glued together 5...yes...count them 5 of the dies to give it a shadow box effect---That's it for today...Thanks for stopping by. If you have a question on the recipe or supplies that I have used in my posting today, please feel free to email me. Til next time...enjoy your day and have a wonderful week!

A Few Cards for the Girl Next Door
Good Morning Everyone! Thanks for stopping by...I hope you had a great weekend! When the girl next door came over and asked me to make her a few cards, I had no idea what I was going to do because she didn't know what she wanted. She only knew that one of the cards needed to be special and needed the sentiment to be in Portuguese. Here is what I came up with...I hope you like them Stef. The first one is the "special" wedding card that is a 5x5 easel card, using one of my favorite Martha Stewart punches, Vintage Floral edge punch, Petite Oval/Scallop from Spellbinders and Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folders. Because of the embellishments, I needed to make a box for it. It didn't photograph very well, what you can't tell from the picture is the background paper is paper that I made using the silk paper technique and is gorgeous in real life and really adds texture. You also can't tell I heat embossed the edges of the card and the branch punch in the flower spray with gold glitter embossing powder---
She had seen the wedding cards I had sent to my son and daughter in law and thought it would be nice for a friend's wedding that she had missed. I promise you, this will be the last of the bride and groom hearts you'll see for awhile. A very simple card, using another of my favorite Martha Stewart edge punches, Lace Hearts and the embossing folders from the Cuttlebug Love Language, Emily's Bouquet and Quick Kutz Stripes Label---
She also needed a card for her daughter's teacher who is pregnant. The image is She's All That Brush Set from Stampin Up---
This last one, she picked from my stash so those not new to my blog may have already seen it---
That's it for today...Thanks for stopping by. If you have a question on the recipe or supplies that I have used in my posting today, please feel free to email me. Til next time...enjoy your day and have a wonderful week!Thursday, April 12, 2012
A Few Graduation and Wedding Cards
Good Morning Everyone! Gosh, I cannot believe it has been more than three weeks since my last posting! Since I've picked up a few new followers, I'd like to welcome them and let you know I have not abandoned my blog! Things have been crazy since the return of our trip to Tennessee and this is the first chance I've had to spend any real time on the Internet. This is going to be a long posting so I'll try shorten in by forgoing the chit chat...If you have any questions on the recipe or the supplies I used...please feel free to email me! My son and daughter in law had taken some craft items they had been working on to the flea market last weekend...this posting is my contribution to the cause. A few quick and easy graduation cards---
And a few quick wedding cards that are all the same with some slight variations---
This last card doesn't belong with this posting but I needed to slot it in somewhere. It is our Easter card to our Disney friends Kathi and Bob. I hope everyone had a nice Easter---
That's it for now...I'll try to get back the first of next week with some more cards that I've been working on but until then...Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed your visit. Again...If you need more information or have questions on the recipe or the supplies I used...please feel free to email me! Til next time...have a wonderful week!

The Last of My Easter/Spring Cards
Good Morning Everyone! As you read this, we are in Tennessee having a blast with my oldest son and his family. My, how our granddaughters have grown since our last visit in November! We are enjoying summer like weather and the breathtaking sight of all the Dogwoods in bloom! Before we left, I had finished the last of my Easter cards but didn't have a chance to download them until now.I have come to the conclusion that I am no good at mass producing cards, I have become very bored with not only my Easter cards but struggled with my Valentine and St. Patrick's Day cards as well. With the next holiday more than 6 months away, I'm am so looking forward to doing something new and fresh when we get home! For those of you that are kind enough to leave a comment, I will be sure to visit your blog when I get home. The Internet connection is VERY slow at best. This first one is slightly smaller than an A2 card, the base was made with the largest Fleur De Lis rectangle---
This card features the computer generated Bible Verse John 3:16 on a Spellbinders Beaded Oval with the Lattice Border,Sizzix 3D Flower die and Martha Stewart Stamp Punch---A quick end of winter card made with Clip art to match the Cherry Blossom paper---
That's it for now...Thanks for stopping by...As always...If you have any questions on the recipe or the supplies I used...please feel free to email me! Til next time...enjoy your day and have a wonderful week!

A Few Quick and Easy Easter/Spring Cards
Good Morning! I want to take this opportunity to welcome my new followers and to thank all of my loyal blogger friends for their continued support. I have met so many wonderful people from all over the world through my blogging and have to say that I am am truly blessed to have such a loyal following. Here are a few more Easter cards that I'd like to share with you. This first one uses the Tulip Pendant and Border from Spellbinders. We have all gotten things that we just had to have but once we've gotten them, we have said "what was I thinking" Well this is one of those---
I needed a few quick and easy Easter cards without a lot of embellishment that would fit into a regular A2 size envelope and could be dropped in the mailbox without making a trip to the post office. These next 2 fit the bill. I've used the Spellbinder Cross Collection for both---Here's a card I didn't include with my St Patrick's Day cards a few weeks ago. It's for our good friends and Disney enthusiast Kathi and Bob. Kathi checks my blog regularly and I didn't want them to see the card before they had a chance to receive it. We hadn't seen them for a while but had dinner with them Wednesday evening...it was good to see them and catch up on all the gossip---
That's it for now...Thanks for stopping by. As always...If you have any questions on the recipe or the supplies I used...please feel free to email me! Til next time...enjoy your day and have a wonderful weekend!

Birthday Cards For Friends and Family
Happy Friday Everyone...I hope you had a great week! I'm really pressed for time but I wanted to share a few birthday cards that I made for friends and family that had or are having birthdays in the month of February. This first one is for my youngest son who will be 35 tomorrow...gosh I can't believe he has gotten that old while I wasn't looking. What's more each time he has a birthday, that means I'm a year older too! He was born at 11:07AM so I set the clock for that time...will he notice...probably not. I used the Spellbinders Timeless Heritage Die with the help of The Cutting Cafe's Clock Background . I can't tell you how much I miss Regina with The Cutting Cafe. ---
This next one was for my sister in law who's birthday was on Valentine's Day so I thought a window card using the Cherry Lynn Heart die was perfect for her---
For our Disney lovin' friend Kathi, this is the card that we sent her. I used Cuttlebug Disney A2 Combo Celebration Set for the balloons and Spellbinder Fancy Tag 3. The paper has a sheen so it didn't photograph very well---
Our neighbor's daughter is turning 4 next week. Her favorite character is Minnie Mouse so Kathi is going to have some competition. It's an easel card with a wobbler. I had to make this card really big. It measures 6x7.5 and even then I was only able to "wobble" her head. The video was taken with my phone so the quality is really poor but you get the idea---
Here's a card I didn't include with my Valentine Collection a few weeks ago. It's was for our friend Kathi and Bob. I didn't want them to see the card before they had a chance to receive it---
That's it for now...Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed your visit. I'll be taking a short break before I start my Easter cards but will be just an email away so if you have any questions on the recipe or the supplies I use...please feel free to email me! Til next time...enjoy your day and have a wonderful weekend!
